Sustainable tourism

In March 2012, we at la Grande Noe were very proud to be awarded the “Marque Parc” for our contribution to the development of sustainable tourism in the Natural Park of the Perche, through our tree-house project.

In summary an independent agency considered our offering to be aligned specifically with the fundamental values of the natural parks of France by:

· contributing to the development of our region through the products and services we offer;
· having a passion and know-how for what we do;
· having a respect for the environment and further strengthening it, by preserving the biodiversity, the wildlife and the flora of La Grande Noe as well as maintaining the quality of its landscape and contributing to the fight against climate change.

We are therefore considered very different to most places you will stay at because at La Grande Noë we are dedicated to supporting the development and protection of the beautiful region of the Perche, a remarkable and fragile area, by operating an environmentally sustainable form of tourism.

Our eco-responsible practices are aimed at reducing the impact of our activity on the environment: reducing energy consumption, reducing consumption in water, recycling waste where possible and using composted household waste for use in the garden.

Furthermore we are considered different from other places to stay in the region as we strongly promote local products through our dinner and breakfast menus, encourage our guests to discover the Perche region and its heritage and provide an authentic Percheron getaway.
